Providing emergency medical assistance, rescue operations, and rehabilitation for the stray animals since 2017.
Awaaz Voice of Stray Animals is a Mumbai-based animal welfare organization dedicated to providing first aid and emergency medical assistance to the voiceless.
Since our inception in 2017, we have been the frontline responders for injured and severely ill animals across Vile Parle, Goregaon, Malad, and Andheri. Our mission extends beyond medical aid; we believe in education, awareness, and fighting viral diseases to create a safer world for strays.
Whether it's a rescue in Mumbai's commercial hubs or emergency calls from Pune and Shirdi, our ambulances are always ready to move.

The journey of Awaaz began with a single act of kindness and a heartbreaking realization. At the age of 18, our founder, Amit Pathak, rescued an injured puppy. Despite his best efforts to foster the little one, the lack of immediate professional medical aid led to the puppy succumbing to its injuries.
That turning point sparked a fire. Amit realized that Mumbai needed more than just feeders; it needed an institution dedicated to emergency rescue and critical care.
Today, that vision is shared and amplified by Alisha Das, who leads our Malad rehabilitation facility. Together with a dedicated team of 21 members, we have transformed personal passion into a structured lifeline for the city's strays.
"Welfare cannot be achieved by false promises. It is a work of commitment & dedication."

We are committed to building a safer future for stray animals by fostering care, compassion, unity, and community responsibility.
Not every case needs hospitalization. Our first-aid vans and trained teams treat hundreds of dogs and cats directly at the location — cleaning wounds, dressing injuries, stabilizing animals and ensuring follow-up visits until they fully recover. Immediate help often means the difference between survival and suffering, especially for strays with no one else to rely on.
From on-spot first aid to complex rescue operations, our team of 21 dedicated members and fleet of three ambulances work round the clock to ensure no call for help goes unanswered.
We operate two ambulances dedicated solely to treating minor wounds and infections on the spot, ensuring immediate relief and regular follow-ups until recovery.
For critical cases like accidents or severe illness, our emergency ambulance transports animals to our partner veterinary clinics or our rehab facility for intensive care.
A proactive fight against deadly viral diseases. We conduct regular drives to vaccinate strays against Distemper, Gastro, Parvo, and Rabies.
Change begins with mindset. We organize awareness campaigns in schools and societies to foster coexistence and compassion towards community animals.
Our specialized team mobilizes during natural calamities. From the floods in Mahad and Raigad to feeding thousands during the COVID-19 lockdowns, we reach where others can't.
Rescued from the streets with severe skin infection, 3 months of medical baths and nutrition brought this soul back to life.
Found with a fractured leg after a road accident. Our emergency team performed surgery and rehabilitation.
Part of our daily feeding drive, ensuring that no animal in our zone sleeps hungry.
A unique awareness campaign for safe driving. We have distributed over 1,000 reflective stickers to animal lovers across Mumbai. Additionally, we install Reflective Collars on stray dogs to prevent accidents at night.
During the COVID-19 lockdowns, when the city shut down, our strays were left starving. Awaaz launched the Feeding Squad. Split into teams, we ensured animals across our zones received daily meals.
Today, this initiative continues as we believe no animal should sleep hungry. We have served over 28,000+ meals and counting.
When floods struck Mahad and Raigad, Awaaz didn't hesitate. We participated in joint operations with other NGOs and government authorities.
Travelling over 600km, our team provided food, medical aid, and vaccinations to animals stranded in flood-affected rural areas, proving that compassion knows no distance.
